Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) needed a bilingual communications solution to help coordinate and communicate hundreds of local Canada 150 events sponsored by foundations across the country.
We built a site with a dedicated database that would be secure and accessible to 191 community foundations across the country and their staff—in both French and English. Data entry had to be simple and intuitive, so that any remote user could easily post their events. Once the database was configured and the site was designed and built, the SCL team worked closely with the Community Foundations of Canada to craft stories that could be shared on social media and posted to the website.
The Alliance 150 site and database proved central to the CFC’s 2017 strategy. The work completed by SCL now serves as the backbone of future CFC marketing and communications initiatives.
